Prices are for one 22-inch blade, checked on November 2, 2026. Wipers are cheap enough that the right type for your climate matters more than a few dollars. We compared the features each brand publishes and the warranty listed by the store; we did not run wear tests.

Premium pick: Bosch ICON

The ICON is a beam blade, the frameless style that presses evenly across curved windshields and resists ice build-up. It cost the same $32.99 at AutoZone and Advance, so buy it where you get free installation (Advance lists free wiper installation with purchase) or a rewards bonus.

Water-repellent pick: Rain-X Latitude 2-in-1

The Latitude 2-in-1 adds a water-repellent coating as it wipes, for $29.99 at Advance. AutoZone carried other Rain-X beam blades, such as WeatherClear at $24.99 and Quantum Elite at $29.99, and was offering a $10 Bonus Reward on two Quantum or Silicone AdvantEdge blades.

Best-value beam: Carquest XtraClear or Duralast Flex

Store-brand beam blades give most of the benefit of a premium beam for less. Carquest XtraClear Premium Beam was $19.99 at Advance and Duralast Flex was $22.99 at AutoZone. Replace them a little more often and you still spend less over a year.

Frequently asked questions

Are beam wiper blades better?

In snow and on curved windshields, generally yes: no exposed frame to clog and more even pressure. On flatter windshields in mild climates, a conventional blade works fine for less.

Are expensive wiper blades worth it?

Often the rubber compound and coating last longer, but a $20 store-brand beam blade replaced on time can wipe as cleanly as a worn premium one. Replace any blade once it streaks or chatters.
