We use AI tools to help build and run PartsMatchup, and we want to be clear about where.
Where we use AI
- Drafting and editing article text, which is then checked against our data and sources.
- Building the website, its calculators and its data tools.
- Helping organize the prices and policies we collect into tables.
Where we do not
- Prices, policies and deals are never generated. They come from dated checks of each store’s own website and are linked to the source page.
- We do not use AI to invent test results, ratings, quotes or customer reviews.
- AI does not decide which store or part comes out ahead; the dated prices and published specs do.
Machine-readable data
We publish our price checks at /data/parts.json and a summary for AI assistants at /llms.txt, so that shopping assistants quoting our data can show the check date and source. Anyone may cite the data with a link to PartsMatchup.
